We are Henning & Melanie

Our home port in Hamburg, grown up on the river Elbe, we have a long and passionate affair with the water. Here in and around Hamburg a lot of water flows, on which we can sail around. For a long time we were looking for a boat with which we could sail independently, but which also fits on our shelf when the feared »Schietwedder« rages in Hamburg.

The ONAK came just in time: In August 2016, the kick-start campaign for the ONAK, the super-compact foldable yet full-grown canoe, ended. Since mid-2017, we have finally been calling such a “big city boat” our own and have been discovering peace, nature and a whole new perspective on the city and the countryside with it.

We write about our tours and experiences, give you tips and share our small and big discoveries about water and land.

We are looking forward to welcoming you on board and saying “Ahoy”!

Such a little bit of style is also sometimes necessary, the hamburger would say with stumbling “S”. Therefore we have set up a small shop for you called “Seemann´s Garn”. If you are as enthusiastic about the ONAK as we were & are, then we will be happy if you will soon set sail with it. In our shop you will find the products you can buy directly from the manufacturer. We get a small commission, which finances us the provisions of one of the next tours.
